Jody Hassemer
Jody has over 20 years of experience in commercial real estate and private equity investing. Prior to founding Artemis Equity, Jody was a principal at a successful private equity firm that raised over $180M in equity, with an average annual return of 31%. Jody oversaw $1.4B in transactions and had over $1B in assets under her management.
Jody grew her successful real estate career as the Chief Financial Officer at Integra Realty Resources for 17 years. She held positions on the Executive Board and Compensation Committee and was selected as CFO of the year by the Fort Worth Business Press.
Jody has a bachelor’s degree in Finance from the University of Wisconsin–LaCrosse, where she competed on the women’s tennis team. She has been a licensed Certified Public Accountant since 1999.
Jody also has a deep love for animals and co-founded Pets Going Places in 2018. Through this non-profit dog rescue and transport, she has provided leadership and financial support to rehome thousands of dogs.
Some of Jody’s other interests are serving on the Texas Wesleyan President's Advisory Board, participating in competitive tennis, traveling, and spending time with her kids and grandchild.
Shannon Cook
Shannon is a native Texan who has lived all of her adult life in the DFW Metroplex. As a Texas A&M University graduate, Shannon has a Bachelor's Degree in Communications with a focus in Business. The majority of Shannon’s professional career has been in advertising and marketing, where she worked on branding campaigns for national corporations such as JCPenney, Subaru, and Bank of America. She later moved to client-sided marketing and provided in-house leadership at Pier 1 Imports and Bombay Company.

After retiring from corporate marketing, Shannon shifted her interests into real estate investing in the early 2000s. This was a natural move, as she had spent many hours assisting her late husband in his real estate valuation career at Integra Realty Resources. Her initial focus was on residential investing via property rehabbing and building a rental property portfolio. In 2021, Shannon joined Jody as the Director of Investor Relations at a private equity firm focused on real estate.

Shannon has been a long-time contributor and volunteer for Meals on Wheels of Tarrant County. She also has a deep fondness for Weimaraners, and usually has at least one by her side. She enjoys volunteering for the Weimaraner Rescue of Texas. In the fall she spends time on her other passion: Aggie Football.
